ALEXANDER TEREKHOV
At the forefront of Russia’s fashion transformation, Alexander Terekhov is among modern Moscow’s most recognized design innovators. Raised in a small town, Terekhov created his first dress at ten years old for his mother. His passion quickly cemented, Terekhov went on to study at the Moscow Institute of Fashion & Design where he won the young designers’ prestigious “Russian Silhouette” competition. Winning first prize meant an invitation to begin training at the legendary house of Yves Saint Laurent directly after graduating.
The designer presented his first collection entitled “Elf’s Corporation” at Moscow Fashion Week in 2004, where he was quickly recognized for his modern, feminine style and luxe minimalist aesthetic. Two years later, Terekhov was honoured as one of Russia’s top designers in International Textile. Continuing to gain popularity amongst editors and international fashion followers, Terekhov was recognized by Style.com as one of the “Ten Most Talented to Watch” in 2008. His classic silhouettes, sleek cuts and bright colours have continue to take the Russian and international fashion world by storm.
