VETERUNS CAR RUN

The London to Brighton Veteran Car Run commemorates the Emancipation Run of 14 November 1896 and the end of the “Red Flag Act” which required cars to be preceded by a man on foot carrying a red flag.

The run is one of the biggest automotive spectator events in the world with more than a million spectators on the route from Hyde Park to Madeira Drive on Brighton seafront.

STRICTLY

The Strictly Come Dancing 2012 line-up has treated viewers to some memorable moments, and this week didn't disappoint thanks to some flesh on display. Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli were on great form.

Fern and Artem’s paso doble was to Espana Cani by Pascual Marquina Narro. But the former This Morning star was definitely upstaged by her dancing partner’s well-sculpted torso. Seriously, how Fern concentrated on her dancing is beyond me. It was one of the moments of the night.

“Artem – it’s like looking in a mirror!” Len quipped. About the dance itself, he said: “This fizzed, but it never exploded, and that’s the bottom line.”

Bruno said: “For a moment, I thought I started to see the fire, but then with him, it’s not difficult!”

As for Craig? “I was slightly distracted by Artem’s charms...” he started, but never really finished his critique as Bruce teased him into being flustered. Yes, Craig was rendered speechless by Artem’s torso. Fern (remember her?) scored 24 points.
