IF I COULD DRIVE/JAGUAR E-TYPE

Classic cars given a new lease of life with modern mechanicals (© Singer)

I have never had much of an interest in cars, so after I had been on a date and my brother would ask what car did he drive, so that he could gauge if the guy was good enough for his sister, he would look at me in disbelief as I replied "red".

I have always been more interested in the man behind the wheel, and not the wheels, that is until now.  If a man turned up for a date in the car above, I'd be his forever.

I don't normally agree with Jeremy Clarkson, but it is probably the most beautiful car I have ever seen and if only I could drive.

Jaguar car When it comes to heritage, few car makers can compete with Jaguar, which has long produced beautiful saloons, coupés and convertibles. The company built its first model in 1922 when it was known as Swallow Sidecars, but for many years the company's design was stuck in the past.
The arrival of the Jaguar XF in 2008 showed that at last there was a new design language, and while this executive car was universally acclaimed, the appearance of an all-new Jaguar XJ in 2010 led to a mixed reception. One car that everybody loves though is the sensational Jaguar XK, and its supercharged stable-mate the XKR.
