OLYMPIC TORCH

Waiting for the torch

Outside Selfridges

The Torch is here at last

Quick take a picture

Not sure if I got the shot

 that went by quickly

Its a 90 degree sunshine soaked day in London and I am in one of the worlds most famous shopping destinations Oxford Street, a place visited on many occasions to shop, to lunch, to college, to work.  But today is one unlike any other, there is a buzz in the air, a throng of happy smiling people line both sides of the street from marble to Oxford Circus.

As the crowds excitement builds I know I have a once in life time moment to get the shot, i will never see the likes of an Olympic Torch in my home town again.

people are hanging out of windows, leaving there offices, waiving flags, balloons cameras and mobiles at the ready.

I take the picture unsure if I got the shot, but knowing that right now being in London is one of the most exciting places to be in the summer of 2012 where we will welcome nations from across the globe to take part in the games.
we will not just be playing sport but will be bringing people together.
