Inspired by the effortless elegance of Charlotte Rampling, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Romy Schneider, the AW15 collection presents a timeless look with a modern spin. There’s a Parisian sense of ease to styling and a commitment to creating forever-relevant pieces that will stand the test of time. Sharp, tailored separates nod to the power dressing of the 1970s and vintage finds are reinterpreted to fit seamlessly into the collection.



Tonal styling is key to capturing the season’s easy elegance. Mineral-hued separates are layered and worn head-to-toe, resulting in a look that’s effortless and alluring all at once. Rich burgundies, night-navy and bleached neutrals create a clean colour palette, with dusky rust reds and soft camel shades adding a touch of romance to the overall aesthetic. Heritage check brings authenticity into the mix and mirrored metallics lend themselves perfectly to event season.



Tactile detailing takes over from print this season, with textured jacquards, boiled wool and faux fur adding surface interest to statement silhouettes. There’s a strong focus on premium leathers and winter months see them worn layered with tonal suede and shearling to amplify their luxe sensibility.

 

There’s an emphasis on proportion play this season with unconstructed silhouettes taking centre stage. Dropped shoulders and exaggerated outerwear shapes remain feminine when cinched at the waist with self-tie belts and knits are spun to expertly drape the body. Sleek trousers and mini-length skirts are key styling components and work to balance the look.



Upping the octane in time for event season, the AW15 show stopper collection is a showcase of delicate sequins, tangible fringing and metallic accents. Vintage-inspired silhouettes set the premise for a sophisticated aesthetic and put a unique spin on traditional occasionwear. Sumptuous fabrications bolster the look with mink-hued velvets, exclusively designed lace and fluid silks stealing the spotlight.

Considered design and impeccable craftsmanship are at the heart of each accessories collection and this season’s contemporary approach renders each piece a hero investment in its own right. Laser-cut leather, supple blush-hued suede and structured neoprene set a modern tone and trend-led shapes work to transform even the simplest of outfits.

I love these black and white 60's photographs released by the family of the late Cilla Black.



They are like a snapshot in time of how life really was during a golden age. My parent's were married in1964 but my mother's wedding dress was not as daring as Cilla's, but she was a star wearing the very height of fashion for the time.
