NUDE LIPSTICK

 Nude Lipstick A Make-Up Staple

Update your Make-Up Bag With An On-Trend Nude Lipstick

Nude lipsticks are outselling red hues for the first time in three years. Perhaps down to the influence of a-listers like Cate Blanchett, Kate Hudson and Amy Adams - who have all been sporting nude lips on the red carpet this year - and perhaps down to the trend for bare-faced beauty.

Maybelline Coloursens Nude Lipstick, £6.99

There will always be a time and a place to work a classic red lip, but for every day, we don't think you can beat a subtle nude. More and more brands are now catering to different skintones: Maybelline, L'Oréal and Illamasqua, to name just a few, have recently launched nude collections dedicated to different skintones and colourings.

The science is simple: Opt for brown tones if you are blonde, pinky hues will suit pale skin and darker beige colours will work well on olive and black complexions. There are a few true nudes to suit all and you will definitely be able to find the perfect version for you.

GOLDEN GLOBE HAIR & BEAUTY 2015

Need inspiration for a special Occasion, with the Advent of Oscar season upon us, look no further than the red carpet and the start of awards season on Sunday at the Golden Globes for the latest hair and make up looks.

Gold-toned smoky eye make-up and pale pink lipstick complemented Reese Witherspoon's glamorous, side-swept curls.

Joanne Froggatt wore her hair in a pretty, plaited up-do, whilst her make-up focused upon pink and purple tones.

Berry-toned lipstick, groomed brows and extra-long lashes made up Amal Clooney's beauty look, whilst her hair was worn in natural-looking waves.

Lupita Nyong'o's grown-out curls provided the perfect complement to a colourful beauty look of magenta lipstick and violet eyeshadow.

Emma Stone wore her hair in tousled waves, whilst her beauty look comprised fuchsia lipstick and navy-toned smoky eye make-up.

Rosamund Pike wore her chin-length bob sleek and straight, whilst glossy lips and smoky eyes with extra-long lashes made up her beauty look.

Old-Hollywood glamour inspired Allison Williams's immaculate look, which comprised set Forties-style waves, matt lipstick and metallic smoky eye make-up.

Keira Knightley's hair was worn in a pretty up-do, complemented by lipstick, blush and eye make-up all in rich berry hues.

Amy Adams's make-up focused on warm, peach tones and bronze shadow on the eyes, whilst her hair was styled in gentle curls parted at one side.

Emily Blunt's hair was styled in a plaited up-do, offset by metallic smoky eye make-up and nude lipstick.

Jessica Chastain chose glamorous, waterfall waves with a side parting for the red carpet, whilst her make-up focused upon neutral tones offset by metallic smoky eyes.
