Le Chalet is a 'winter Alpine-style restaurant' operated by the Q Grill, which had an earlier popup on this Selfridges rooftop during the summer of 2014. If you already went to that popup, you’ll be forgiven for wondering what has changed, other than perhaps the addition of some fairy lights and a few yuletide logs.
If you’ve not been before, first impressions can be quite dramatic: an open-air perch with a transparent plastic conservatory of the type you find surrounding wintergarten cafés, protecting you from the elements if the weather turns.
Chalet will be at Selfridge’s until the end of February 2015 and also serves breakfast and afternoon tea.
