NEW YORK FASHION WEEK HAIR AND MAKEUP HIGHLIGHTS
JASON WU

Makeup artist Diane Kendal, working with Lancôme, gave models blinged-out eyes by dusting a bronze shadow across the lids, and then topping it with a generous sprinkle of rose-gold glitter in the center. Long and elegant ponytails were finished with chunky gold clasps courtesy of Odile Gilbert. To keep the hair smooth on top, she finished with Kérastase Short Mania, a semi-matte styling paste that launches next month.
REBECCA MINKOFF
Frida Kahlo served as the inspiration for the braided headbands TRESemmé hairstylist Jeanie Syfu created. After roughing up dry hair her fingertips, she plaited three different ponytails into four-strand brands before wrapping them around the head and pinning them in place. She tugged out stray pieces to give the braids an even more lived-in feel. A blast of TRESemmé Fresh Start Color Care Dry Shampoo gave the look a final matte and undone finish.
RAG & BONE
“This is the first time rag & bone has ever done a lip like this,” said Revlon makeup artist Gucci Westman. “There’s a lot of shine and pastels to the collection, so I really wanted the lip to pop.” To create a color that was inspired by the World Cup in Brazil, Westman blended Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Mischievous (out in January) with Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Carnival.

Hairstylist Tommy Buckett created roughed-up top knots, sweeping models’ hair up and off their shoulders and twirling it into thick, chunky buns.
CUSHNIE ET OCHS
Models were given long and sharply pointed white nails that were finished with a reflective silver racing stripe placed horizontally down the center.
COSTELLO TAGLIAPIETRA
Models' eyes were dusted with either a halo of citron green or violet shadow; lips were finished with a clear high-shine gloss.
CANDELA
Some models got structured, sculptural creations courtesy of Bumble and bumble stylist Amy Farid. Others sported twisty, haphazard chignons.

HERVE LEGER BY MAX AZRIA S/S 2014 RUNWAY
The show began with a flurry of zippers, up the front, around the bodice; they also edged ruffles that were fashioned into peplums and godet skirts, resulting in a nice contrast to the feminine eyelet skirts that peeked out from underneath. The duo kept their colors subdued, which did no favors for the peek-a-boo crochet numbers that veered towards hoochie, but it did allow the beautiful beaded embellishments and knitting techniques to really shine.
