                The strange shape of this mascara wand - horizontal instead of vertical - is a stroke of genius. The brush is just about wide enough to cover a full lash-line, so we rested it at the root of our lashes and wiggled it up, and the brush caught every hair in the process.
            
It's simple to use and the joint in the handle means you can adjust the angle at which you apply the mascara, which helps unsteady hands.

Finally, we loved the formula: it is really black, really glossy and the curl created by the brush lasts all day. It may look odd, but we think it's the most exciting mascara innovation in years.
